Removing Audio from Video with Movavi Video Editor

Although cameras nowadays can record high quality and amazing video footage, most still have fairly poor built-in microphones. Because of that as much as the video footage that you capture may look great, the audio could leave much to be desired.

Rather than allowing poor quality audio to make an otherwise good video seem bad – why not just remove it? It is easy enough to remove audio from video using Movavi Video Editor, and once you’re done you could even add background music or some other audio track in its place.

If you’d like to give it a try for yourself, go ahead and launch Movavi Video Editor and select the ‘Create project in full feature mode’ to open the editor. Next add the video that you want to edit by either clicking on the ‘Add Media Files’ button, or dragging and dropping the video file into the ‘Timeline’ area in the lower part of the interface.

After you’ve added the video you should see it in Movavi Video Editor’s ‘Timeline’ with the video track at the top and the audio track at the bottom. All you need to do then is click on the audio track to select it, and then click on the ‘Remove’ button (i.e. the ‘trash can’ icon) located right above the ‘Timeline’ to remove it.

At that point you could save your video, but if you’d like to add a new audio track instead – just click ‘Add Media Files’ once more and this time select the audio file that you’d like to use. If the audio track that you added is longer than the video you could use the tools in Movavi Video Editor to trim out the unwanted part, or if the video is longer than the audio track you could duplicate it or add another audio file instead.

In addition to letting you easily remove and replace the audio from a video, there are lots of other ways that Movavi Video Editor’s features may come in handy. With its help you could cut and join video segments, enhance the video quality, apply special effects and filters, transform the frame, add captions, and more. If you want you could even edit the audio tracks to normalize quiet parts, remove background noise, or adjust the equalizer settings to make it sound better.

All in all Movavi Video Editor will give you the means to make sure your videos look and sound great. On your part you just need to decide exactly how you’d like to improve your video footage as well as its audio, and you can then apply the features that are available to get the job done.
